Celebrate the Birth of Christ
in Light and Music

2007 Opening Ceremonies Honor
Families and Feature the 2007 National
Parents of the Year from Mesa

The opening ceremony and official start of the 2007 celebration pays tribute to the many who work to strengthen homes and families.

Glade and Carol Soelberg, 2007 National Parents of the Year, have the honor of throwing the switch to the lighting display.

Opening ceremonies will be held on Friday, November 23 at 7:00 PM.


Schedule/Admission/Parking

Lights are illuminated between 5:30 PM and 10:00 PM.

The lights, concerts and the nativity exhibit begin officially on Friday, November 23.

The last evening of concerts is Monday, December 31 (New Years Eve). The light display will be lit through the evening of New Years day 2008.

The Visitors' Center, gardens and grounds are open from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM each day during the Christmas Celebration period.


Admission and parking are free.

The events are accessible and parking for the disabled is available to the East of the Visitors' Center.

Smoking is not permitted.

Annual Christmas Lights Display (Link to release)

In it's 28th year, lights by the hundreds of thousands including more than a dozen feature displays create a delightful, spirited visual experience. Over 10,000 volunteer hours are required to stage events.


Annual Concert Series   (Link to release)

A Christmas music concert performance is held nightly for nearly 40 days. Concerts typically showcase local performers from churches, cultural groups, music ensembles and organizations and families. On occasion national and internationally recognized artists appear.

Performances begin each evening promptly at 7:00 PM and last for approximately 30 minutes. Early arrival is encouraged due to the limited availability of seating.

International Nativity Scene Exhibit  (Link to release)

This year the annual nativity exhibit highlights over a dozen meticulously crafted large-scale scenes and a number of miniature nativity sets. Artisans from around the world are represented. the Nativity Exhibit is located in the Mesa Arizona Temple Visitors' Center. The Nativity Exhibit and Visitors' Center hours are 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM daily.
